WHY NOT?

For the first time since I'm bloging I'm having problems with one subject.I do not know why Miss Landmine is being objectable by others if this is something real.I posted this subject because it is the reality of my country .There is the link where I got the information about.I hope someone responsable for political correctness on Bloggers to be an understandable person and look to the right direction.

It is not the reality that people object at least not me. What people object is to profit of $95.000 at the costs of angolan mine victims who probably have only been paid a trip to Luanda for a photo shooting.

Who is profiting? I have no doubts: the supposed artist

Then also the way this subject is brought up. Just because smthg is a reality doesnt mean that all ways of using that reality are ethically and even artistically acceptable.

Many more questions can be raised:
- who and how these photos will be used and for what purposes, will they be protected
- will the participants profit from the selling or exhibition of these pic....
-none of the material is in portuguese why? which means most angolans are not able to acess it
- this artist has no background on working with women or humanitarian work how can he be a reliable individual to be encharged of a project of such nature
- the artist seems to not even be familiar with working with photography or fashion

I could go on.....
so many questions so little answers

Dear anonymous ,
First of all you are welcome!
You are entitled to your own opinion, own doubts and questions by your comment you are concerned about the rightness of profits, costs, etc and etc but your “MAIN” concern is about the artist. You have transmitted in your comment the impression of someone who knows what happens behind the curtains.
If someone is making profit with this project regardless to the women,if someone is spending thousands of american dollares at the cost of angolan people I think this person or these people are not the first ones .Because who knows Angola, knows what I am talking about.Of course this situation make me sad but it is not in my power to sort it out.It is not in my power to give answers.Who guarantees you that there is no material in portuguese if the event is going to take place in Angola?
Sometimes what is ethic in Portugal,Uganda,Usa,Russia,France or Japan is not in Angola.Ethic changes from one society to the another society therefore we can not make ethic the exclusive one.The uglyness of reality can be brougth up artistically to catch the attention even the most distracted human being(See the archive about anorexia).
My main point was to create a social awareness for that matter.I could go on with my point of view but the time is up. I will do a post about the acceptance of reality in artistic way and ethic, near future.
Take care!
